The Australian invention has been praised for its innovative yet simple design that delivers clear user benefits. ZIPBOLT’s full program of connectors is rapidly being adapted by a variety of industries.
“Industries that see the ZIPBOLT™ product range, are immediately coming up to us with new suggestions of application”, said Lincoln Sentry, Technical Representative Richard Parker.
“A variety of industries need some type of connector product in a variety of applications and ZIPBOLT™ is proving to be the ideal solution for many of them”, he adds.
“The Staircase market in the United States commented how they had been waiting 150 year for Zipbolt™ to solve the problem of connecting timber balustrades and posts”, Richard explains.
The ZIPBOLT product, designed by Adelaide inventor Milan Pilja, was originally designed for the Kitchen benchtop industry.
“It was a matter of coming up with a more common sense solution to the back breaking method of connecting benchtops”, Milan explains
From there Lincoln Sentry, in partnership with Milan, saw the potential and developed the product further responding to feedback that was received from both Australia and overseas markets. The result so far is a full range of connectors for a variety of applications and industries.
“We are really encouraged by the response we are receiving from the market and are actively seeking new market opportunities that can see the user benefits, time saving and labour cost saving features, especially suited to the production line and on-site installation market”, says Leo Mangini, Lincoln Sentry National Marketing Manager.
The ZIPBOLT™ connector range is available in a variety of versions and sizes for different applications and markets.
It is by far the fasters and most efficient solution to joining substrates in seconds!
The innovative inward facing gear design allows the user to tension the bolt with a hand-held hex drive screwdriver or a power drill in seconds, eliminating the difficult handling and time consuming problems associated with using a hand spanner / wrench. The ZIPTOOL™ rotates the gear that tensions the bolt on the shaft and joins the material.
Traditional methods of joining substrates for work /counter tops or stair railings until now have been time consuming and impractical, compromising on join strength and quality. The ZIPBOLT™ design allows better dexterity when handling the work and less time and labour cost required. The integrated locator hole allows the ZIPBOLT™ Driver to easily locate into the gear and tension the ZIPBOLT™ tightly, easily producing a fast and strong join.
The connectors are suitable for straight or angle fixing to a variety of substrates. When used with dowels and liquid adhesives, ZIPBOLT™ does not require external clamps to hold the work together whilst the glue sets. Assembly can be completed at once, rather than assembled in parts over several days whilst the adhesive bonds, greatly increasing production efficiency.
The ZIPBOLT™ connector is ideal for both permanent fixing for furniture or cabinetmaking constructions or for short term assembly and disassembly, such as shopfitting and exhibition construction.
Zipbolt so far is marketed and sold in Australia, U.S.A., United Kingdom, New Zealand, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Canada, South Africa and Poland.
